01What is RetailPOS Studio?Day to day
RetailPOS Studio is a hosted point-of-sale system built for general retail, gift and mobile-phone shops. It runs selling at the counter, inventory, barcode labels, purchase orders, supplier ledgers, reward points, serials and warranties, and multi-store stock from one account. You sign up online, add your shop and products, and your online store is generated from the catalogue you already entered. Nothing is installed on a server of yours, and it works in the USA, the UAE and Pakistan with local currencies.
02Which kinds of shops is it built for?Day to day
It is built for shops that sell many different items and need to know exactly where each one is. That covers general stores, variety and discount stores, gift and souvenir shops, and mobile-phone, accessories and electronics shops. Phone and electronics shops get IMEI and serial tracking, warranties and repair job sheets. Gift shops get seasonal stock tools and reward points. If you run a boutique, hardware store or convenience store, our sister editions are tuned for those trades.
03How much does RetailPOS Studio cost?Cost & billing
Plans start at $35 per location per month for Counter, with Stockroom at $65 and Chain at $115. Prices are shown in your own currency when you pick USA, UAE or Pakistan, because each market is priced on its own rather than converted. Annual billing gives you 2 months free, and there is no contract and no setup fee for the software.
04Is there a free trial, and do I need a card to start?Cost & billing
Yes. Every plan starts with a 21-day free trial, which covers three full weekends of trading, when a retail system is really tested. You pick a plan only when the trial ends, and you are never charged without confirming. Use the trial on your real catalogue: import your products, print a sheet of labels and ring up a few test sales before deciding.
05Do I really get an online store without building a website?Day to day
Yes. When you add products, RetailPOS Studio generates an online store from them automatically, using the names, prices, photos and stock you already entered. It is included in every plan. When stock changes at the counter, the store reflects it, so you don't maintain two catalogues. If you want a fully designed website with your own pages, the managed website is the done-for-you upgrade.
06Can it track IMEI and serial numbers on every phone I sell?Day to day
Yes, on the Stockroom and Chain plans. You turn on serial or IMEI tracking per product, record the number when stock arrives, and the system asks for it at the sale. Each number links to its purchase, its sale, the customer and the warranty, so a warranty claim or a stolen-phone enquiry takes seconds instead of searching through paper.
07Does it work in Arabic, Urdu, Spanish or Chinese?Day to day
Yes. The app's screens and your receipts can run in the language your shop uses, and you can edit the wording yourself. Arabic and Urdu print right-to-left on receipts and invoices. On this website, the home, pricing and contact pages are available in Arabic, Urdu, Spanish and Chinese, with more pages being translated.
08What hardware do I need to start?Setting up
A tablet, laptop or desktop with a modern browser is enough to start selling. Most shops add a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner, a receipt printer and a cash drawer, and a label printer if they label their own stock. Card payments go through your own card processor's reader. We don't sell hardware, so you can use what you already have; the hardware guide lists what works.
09How long does it take to get set up?Setting up
Most shops are selling the same day. Creating the account takes a couple of minutes, adding your shop, registers and staff takes around ten, and importing a product spreadsheet takes about half an hour depending on how tidy it is. Your online store goes live as soon as products exist. If you're moving from another POS, our team helps with the import at no cost.
