Feature questions, before you switch.

01Which features are included in every plan?Day to day
Every plan includes fast checkout with barcode scanning, barcode and price labels, stock levels with low-stock alerts, reward points, the auto-generated online store and receipts in your language. Stockroom adds purchase orders, supplier ledgers, serials and warranties, repair job sheets and deeper reports. Chain adds central multi-store control, stock transfers, per-store prices and API access. The plan comparison on the pricing page lists every line.
02Do I have to pay extra for the repair module?Cost & billing
No. Repair job sheets are included in Stockroom and Chain at no extra cost. You can log the device, the fault, the parts used and the status, notify the customer and invoice parts and labour together. It suits phone shops that do screen and battery repairs alongside sales.
03Can I start on Counter and move up later?Setting up
Yes. Change plan from your account settings at any time and the new features appear straight away. Your products, customers and sales history stay exactly where they are. If you upgrade mid-month, you pay only the prorated difference; if you downgrade, the change applies from your next billing date.
04How do the features connect to each other?Setting up
Everything hangs off the product record. A purchase order brings stock in and updates the supplier ledger; labels print from the same product; a sale reduces stock, earns reward points and starts the warranty clock on a serial number; and reports read all of it. Because it's one record, you never re-key data between modules.
05Are variants like color and storage size supported?Day to day
Yes. A product can have variations such as color, size or storage capacity, each with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock level. A phone case in six colors or a handset in three storage sizes is one product with clear variants, so reports still show the product as a whole.
06Can staff only see what they need to?Day to day
Yes. Roles and permissions decide what each user can do, such as selling only, receiving stock, editing prices or seeing profit reports. On Chain, permissions can also be limited per location, so a cashier at one shop can't see another shop's figures.
07Is there a mobile app for owners?Day to day
Yes. The software runs in any modern browser on phones and tablets, and there is a mobile app for checking sales and stock while you're away from the shop. Many owners keep an eye on the day's takings and low-stock list from their phone.
08What doesn't RetailPOS Studio do?Day to day
It doesn't process card payments itself: it works with your own card processor. It doesn't file your tax returns, and we don't claim fiscal-printer or government e-invoicing certification, so check any such requirement on your demo. It also isn't a full accounting suite, although an accounting add-on and exports are available.
